Ministry Announcement at Parkcrest Elementary
Seaforth opened to students in 1922 as a one-room school house. The building was torn down and replaced by a brand new school in 1958. A growing community led to four major additions from 1961 to 1995.听Parkcrest was built in 1960 with additions in 1964 and 1968.
Board Chair Gary Wong:
At the time, Parkcrest and Seaforth were built to code, as are all of our schools.听And as they age, we are working with the Ministry of Education to provide seismic upgrades, starting with the highest priority buildings.”
Parkcrest student Sydney Bastien:
I think I speak for all the grade fours when I say, we are all excited to be able to enjoy this new addition to the amazing school we go to. It will be ready for us in grade seven, our last year of elementary school.鈥
The 大象传媒 School District continues to work closely with the Ministry of Education to bring 大象传媒 schools forward for seismic improvements.
